Behavioral Activation

Small, meaningful actions can create powerful change. Behavioral Activation helps you reconnect with the activities, relationships, and routines that support emotional well-being.

When we're struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, or burnout, it's common to withdraw from the people and activities that once brought us joy. Unfortunately, that withdrawal can make us feel even more disconnected and overwhelmed. Behavioral Activation is an evidence-based therapy approach that helps you gradually re-engage in meaningful activities, build healthy routines, and regain a sense of purpose and accomplishment—one step at a time.

What to Expect

Behavioral Activation focuses on taking practical, achievable steps toward the life you want to live. Together with your therapist, you'll identify activities that align with your values, explore patterns of avoidance, and create realistic goals that help you rebuild confidence and momentum. Progress happens gradually, with each small success building on the last.

Our Approach

At Couture Counseling, we believe meaningful change doesn't happen overnight. That's why we personalize every treatment plan to fit your unique goals, strengths, and life circumstances. Behavioral Activation is often combined with other evidence-based therapy approaches to help you create sustainable, lasting change that feels realistic and meaningful.
